As a functional demonstration (some visual enhancements might be nice), I whipped up a very basic RSS reader in JavaScript using Google's Feed API. I made a page at UC3 for it, and linked that to the main page for all users (authenticated and anonymous). The new UC3 News page shows two feeds from our aggregator: one for UC3 news (e.g. blog posts such as this) and one for project activity (wiki updates, git commits, jira tickets, etc).
